Getting to Zambia

May 10, 2010

I left the Winnipeg airport Saturday morning to join several of our team in Toronto, where we would then journey together to Zambia (some had departed earlier).

During our travels, we had a partial day in London where we had opportunity to travel on the Underground transit system, and experience Big Ben, the Pariliament Buildings, the Thames river, and many other historic sites via the London Eye.  Some truly breath-taking views.

After over 30 hours on four separate flights, I arrived in Livingstone, Zambia, this afternoon and had opportunity to meet some wonderful people who work with World Vision Zambia.  We will be travelling to the World Vision Kalomo Area Development Project tomorrow!

Zambia – both in it’s landscape and it’s people – is breath-taking.
